MorningNews Never Been At A Time Like Now

Morning news has never been at a time or moment like it is going through right now.

Sure social media allows advertising dollars to be more targeted to those unique sets of eyeballs when TV stations, channels & networks are engaging enough to provide communication lines like email for its audience to email in ideas and active in social media so the audience feels like it really is joining in on the conversation with the elite media personalities, experts, officials, entertainers = and not just being talked to from a podium or pulpit however talked with around the board room table, kitchen table or on the passenger's side.

Engaging new media can aide in taking an assessment of right now in time - articulating & expressing where we are - by acknowledging how we got here - so we may penetrate the future with no strings attached to pull us back and weigh us down or carelessly wreck us = really connecting the dots for honest pictures #newmediaart 

Good artists find imperfections in themselves through brutal self analysis in love with psychoanalysis and break on through to create the other side ... 

Morning news has the tremendous opportunity to make a huge impact on modern day contributions to humanity by delivering products like whole foods for a diabetic instead of processed foods for a diabetic. 

Will you deliver Copper River Sockeye Salmon and Jack London vintage of Kenwood Cabernet Sauvignon with a nice salad for dessert or shrink wrapped Velveeta cheese singles on white Wonder Bread smothered in mayonnaise with a bag of ranch Doritos with a 2 liter bottle of Pepsi and a Twinkie?

Will "Feel the Bern" Be Forced to "Eat Cake"!? (Let me explain)

What about Bernie Sanders continuing with his presidential campaign & "feel the Bern" movement?

So, Bernie & his feel the Bern movement and the simple quest for real transparency, real hope, real change within the government that we the people have a social contract with as citizens for how the government protects & serves us - so we should all "eat cake" if we are mistreated to the point beyond malpractice and moreover often with a blatant disregard for our lives, Liberty & happiness not to mention inalienable rights, human rights, civil rights + individual & minority rights?!

Marquis de Lafayette - Frenchman who fought in the American Revolution and then from his experience with fighting for independence & rights helped shape new cutting edge politics in France more in-tune with the spirit of independence, freedom & rights for citizens under social contract with a government would probably agree that Bernie Sanders & the "feel the Bern" movement must fight on and not just Queen H. to carry on the status quo "business as usual" politics.

What is a true conservative? (Republicans 2016)

What is a true conservative? First maybe we should be asking to define "truth" and "is" with this crowd, though. Nevertheless, a couple years ago I began noticing a new kind of Republican that was a hyrbrid of Libertarian and Moderate Republican. This sensitive libertarian knows they can't just throw away safety nets like more established politicians and pundits love to easily use as a dismissive argument for libertarianism all together and also aligns with the liberal left when it comes to civil liberties and individual & minority rights to protect citizens from an ever so over-reaching big big government who to keep getting fed will bend, break and compromise the social contract of natural law which does indeed acknowledge all men and women are born free and equal. This hybrid does not focus on the Iowa norms, values and taboos of the 1950's that more or less molds qualified republican candidates but rather has evolved with the times on cultural changes and shifts yet still wanting small business and entrepreneurs to succeed and be protected by an enlightened government who can be prudent about spending with major major debt. .... So, Rand Paul is an example but he had been made a joke by the esteemed elite politicians and pundits and unfortunately out of the 2016 race for president and now there is talk about a bigger clown? an evil clown? ... at any rate, a couple years ago when I took notice of the new republican hybrid this Grateful Dead song came to mind:"New Speedway Boogie"

Please don't dominate the rap, jack, if you've got nothing new to say.

If you please, don't back up the track this train's got to run today.

I spent a little time on the mountain, I spent a little time on the hill

I heard someone say "Better run away", others say "better stand still".

Now I don't know, but I been told it's hard to run with the weight of gold,

Other hand I have heard it said, it's just as hard with the weight of lead.

Who can deny, who can deny, it's not just a change in style?

One step down and another begun and I wonder how many miles.

I spent a little time on the mountain, I spent a little time on the hill

Things went down we don't understand, but I think in time we will.

Now, I don't know but I was told in the heat of the sun a man died of cold.

Keep on coming or stand and wait, with the sun so dark and the hour so late.

You can't overlook the lack, jack, of any other highway to ride.

It's got no signs or dividing lines and very few rule to guide.

I saw things getting out of hand, I guess they always will.

Now I don't know but I been told

If the horse don't pull you got to carry the load.

I don't know whose back's that strong, maybe find out before too long.

One way or another, one way or another,

One way or another, this darkness got to give.

"The Life We Live" _ new 2016 March poem

We've all been in heavy patterns of traffic flow.

Some of us on the road are in it everyday though --

Statistically speaking that must increase those odds

And that's why I make a habit of taking it nice & slow.

376 East in Pittsburgh, Pa is gnarly any day of the week

On a late Friday afternoon of St. Patty's Day weekend

The back-up, stop & start traffic to the tunnel is a beast.

Through the tunnel headed to Monroeville it opens a bit

Those easily agitated arrogantly take off like a knee jerk

Reaction, key for survival. ..Not 100% you could be dead.

Traffic is now trucking around a modest 70 miles per hour

Suddenly the black SUV 30 yards ahead of me is at a stop.

I see why in the very left lane of three, we being in the middle

A huge bail of pink insulation bagged and duck-taped on its

Way to cause destruction and maybe even impending death

Behind me is an 18 wheeler big rig truck barreling on down ..

If I wasn't totally in the present moment I found in pre dawn

Keeping my hands on the wheel and my eyes upon the road

This 18 wheeler big rig truck would have nailed my rear end.

But a vehicle in that far left lane with the mobile death device,

Straight ahead of it, kept right on track and drove right on thru

And I darted too right at that point into that far left lane missing

The rolling big bailed bag of pink insulation now tracking another

I didn't look behind in the rear view mirror to see what happened

Rather, staying 100% focused in the moment knowing I'm blessed

I thought how glad I was I hugged my wife goodbye in the morning

How joyful it made me our 12 & half year old fur baby Lhasa Apso

Ran so so fast through the empty paved parking lot of St. Stephen's 

All the way from Walnut to Broad streets in the Sewickley Village way

Before all the stay-at-home mothers dropped their kids off for school

Happy I loyally send my mother 2 flower arrangements each month +

How religiously I go to my father's grave each week to light a candle

And how I'm delivering Pittsburgh Poetry Therapy for my boss man

Who honored me with the challenge of engaging an underserved age; 

The two sessions I did at two facilities the day before in my awareness 

Feeling good knowing I broke on through to the groups recalling that

One poem I shared called "Thought of the Day (in Pittsburgh)" was so

Stimulating for the participants of one workshop they had me repeat it.

Five times I recited it for them with the same Christmas morning result.

That poem was written from my first session with a Monroeville facility

And that's where I was traveling to so I could present the printed poetry-

I wrote at home from the participation of this amazingly thinking group.

Excited to share before I would come back later in the month continuing

The Pittsburgh Poetry Therapy curriculum via my innovative employer ..

Adding to the strangeness when I did safely arrive, my person secured,

The staff at the facility informed me one of the folks in the workshop ..

Well he passed away. He was actually a poet. They said everyone was

Upset. really upset because everyone loved him and he touched many ..

Reciting poetry and also playing the organ so everybody could sing along.

"Ok," I said. "We'll dedicate these poems to him when I'm scheduled back"

I also thanked myself for getting ready to launch "Whispering Angels" 2016

Got a job at the university

Testing answers not yet seen

We need empirical evidence to

Caught up for tenure in this race

John Mayer DeadAndCompany out on tour fall / winter 2015 have Taylor Swift join them on stage live for "Going Down The Road Feeling Bad" and it is as smoking & fresh as when Edie Breckel sat in with the Grateful Dead live on tour of '93!
Then *RYan Adams comes on stage and they all do " Playing in the Band"

*RYan played Jerry Garcia's custom Wolf guitar with Phil Lesh & Friend in Colorado and also has a history with Swift & recently recorded her explosively produced 1989 in his fashion song for song & it sounds rather good + I'm confident RYan would pay homage yet contribute his own voicing to compliment the scene in the scenes I've dreamt about here = an amazing concert & moment for the books, for sure

Spanish moss hanging down

Wet stoned streets where real

Pirates used to meet & tumble

Inside riverfront taverns lit up

Listening to music in Double E

Now his 2016 message sings

"I just wanna be your lover, 

Babe, I don't wanna be your boss"

And the tavern scene carrying him

Across the River where he rides off

Towards the ocean the direction

Almost navigating itself he's there

Atlantic sands crashing on shoreline

Churning years of darkness & light 

Top to bottom and side to side

Keeping his head within rhythm 

Tide calling him out in moonlight

Where's your lover tonight, gone?

Now I know I'm an average guy
And she's a hot pie-in-the-sky
On an average salary with chivalry
I'm gonna make her more than merry
With big blue eyes & lips cherry red
She'll steal your face off your head
Yeah that girl living in Santa Monica
Strutting down the Boulevard to132
Meeting her at Ye Old King's Head
For a beer but not having any food
Hope you're in the mood for a ride
We're taking a handful of HWY
Been waiting all week for the beach
Not in Santa Monica it's at Topanga
Sure my six-pak may be a little weak
It looks ok laughing with sandy feet
Feel'n hippie chic at Topanga beach
Making her laugh without making fun
Of anyone else. Don't need that debt
We walk along the beach town - let
Me say it as I said before - I
Know I'm just your average kinda guy

Dreams flash on by
Counting how many times
I had to say good nite
When you know I didn't want to too

The 2x Waylon Krieger & I + Roby Krieger of the Doors

That time Waylon Krieger was playing a show in Pittsburgh at Rosebud with his father Robby Krieger of the Doors with Jim Morrison and my wife asked me after the show who I wanted to talk with as Waylon & I had an incredibly cool introduction in serendipitous fashion at Live Wire Recordings in Fla (where upon doing a couple numbers taking lead vocal with Post Face meeting Waylon & a crew when we opened the doors from our studio recording suite I later jumped in the Atlantic Ocean with all my clothes on from up the eastern seaboard in Pittsburgh and Waylon's phone number he wrote on paper washed away that was proudly in my Levi's & I assured him whatever we did musically had to make money because my father would dis-own me) and yet there was Robby Krieger of the Doors who I also had an incredible encounter with (that I also blew like a clown at the last minute) previously but after meeting Roby's son Waylon ... Both encounters granting me an affirmation, confirmation, verification, situation I thought I needed (& maybe that's true) and so my wife approaches Waylon with my story & we end up back of the club where Waylon is with my wife's cousin Lori.
Too true to be false and kinda funny #familymatters

Love Theater

And in an instance
Of post dawn
When
Summer's almost gone
He could
Feel the morning dew on
Valley hillsides shimmering
With a golden sun hue
Cool and crisp
He liked the growth
Two thirds of the season
In calm calculus of reason
Results relieving his stance
