Neon Listen

The music glistened with the debt of freshly paved streets lined with tall palm trees
and hung commercials above the Blvd that if you took all the way West you'd run onto a beach
that meets the Pacific Ocean for some drinks looking at it all behind some really clear glass windows where no one's on the otherside to throw stones but maybe rob you and leave you at the water's edge for dead.
However, the songs of Venice Beach written by rooftop stars are the real jewels of the city of lights ...
Count on those cinematographers and post people to make it sexy for ya if you happen not to make it there: being-there for yourself to see and capture in the seized moments of your own eyes,
unfiltered by a camera lens –

Alchemist’s Daughter

Alchemist’s Daughter: Princess Smiling Faces

“I don’t know. She was always trying to like dissect the elements

That made her up and rearrange them to turn her into someone –

Lets say someone with an ending process of chromosomes that nobody’s

Ever seen before. I mean, it wasn’t like she tried to shit gold but maybe silver.

But yet again she was never a traitor of her own spirit – she was a champion.

I was jealous of her. But I had no intent to kill her or see her killed or harmed.”

Almost all of us wish we were a little younger than who we are --- DNA defiant
A paradox is revealed in that the ultimate price for youth is often death. Choose.
So stay in that Ying & Yang and walk that fine line of it so you don't catch cancer.
And God Bless You and "may the force be with you" if you do. Prayers. Meditation.
Love, like a friend from Millvale, Penna. says, "let's hate cancer with all of our hate."

President Obama & Gov Mitt Romney: OK Election 2012, here’s what I want & need ...

OK Election 2012, here’s what I want & need as an undecided voter who’s concerned with the following practical issue(s) that need properly prioritized and managed not just for the next four years but for many more down the line.

I was lucky enough to grow-up in a household where there were plenty of resources to go around = However, this was not to say that it was “some big giant party.” Ha! My Italian grandmother who lived with us sat over every bill that was sent with the groceries from our Italian Grocer “Mikey” who she fully trusted but that was just how things were done. Her thinking, “Did I order this? Did I pay for this. Do we need this? Did we pay for this.”
When it was time to tighten-the-belt my attorney & businessman father certainly would let us know and it was either work as a team to tighten-the-belt or “get the belt.” This was serious stuff.

Notwithstanding, this is serious stuff here we face this Nov 2012.
What I’m looking for is someone to cut the B.S. and realize for our U.S. A., for our nation, “we need to tighten-the-belt or get-the-belt yet with the careful understanding of what’s “that fat” and what’s the real human services, educational, defense & cultural edification needed to not only survive as a nation but thrive as a nation.”
Can I get an AMEN brothers & sisters?!

Sure, you may not be required to read these books for your instruction at Uni, however, it would be in everybody's best interest if you did (including your own, of course). .. My father always told me that "outside the classroom reading is mandatory for your higher education." --- I’m no teacher but I thought these books were a prerequisite for modern day life. hahaha!

OK, Mitt sure showed true gritt and like John Wayne he really dug in and gave it to' em. It was as close to American cowboy executive as any Utah Mormon could dream of. ..

However, don't drink O'Reilly's cool-aide yet and put down Eric's "special" celebratory cigars (he scored from Beckel).

My theory is he has taken a page from a muslim brother named Muhammad Ali called *Rope-a-Dope. Yeah, no! I'm speaking of a man who was most likely just laying low on the ropes of a heavy weight fight letting his opponent give'em his best shots so he could see what he got to throw at him, take the beating, tire the opponent out and then really go on the attack.

Why Are the Freemasons Collecting Our Children's DNA? _ from the Huffington Post

You know them as MasoniChip, or perhaps you've been led to believe it was a state and provincial endeavor intended to protect your little ones. They set up fairs, forge partnerships with law enforcement and even strive to distribute their services through North American public school systems. In Massachusetts this Freemason program was promoted by CBS News from the steps of the official State House and included their police dog, coincidentally named Mason. Reporters only failed to mention the private nod to those promoting him or that government had little to do with it.

Monkey Socialization: UC Berkeley Breakthrough

Monkey Socialization
At the University of Berkeley, they took a dozen or so of monkey families and had them live in one environment (neighborhood if you will).
One monkey, called Jeem, that had grown-up with Alpha parents that were the obvious leaders of another monkey community was relied upon to teach these other monkeys how to wash their fruit in natural running water before eating. Sure enough, all the monkeys soon followed with the fruit that was given to them all. It became the norm (the standard).
A forward thinking professor at Berkeley then implemented his partly trendy idea that centered around teaching monkeys to smoke – as it is cute and popular with the public and would help in raising grant money from the old money planted in tobacco interests. This experiment would also focus around social behavior.
All the monkeys were given cheap packs of cigarettes to smoke. It was normal for them to sit out in front of their sleeping habitats and smoke these cigarettes and chatter.  Jeem was given a pouch of tobacco that was an organically grown and was taught to roll his own cigarettes independent of the standard monkey order and outside of its environment. He was then let back into the environment each day with two to three of these hand rolled organic tobacco cigarettes.
The chatter became outrageous and almost crazed from the other monkeys as Jeem continued to smoke his hand rolled organic tobacco cigarettes and the others continued to only know about their cheap pack of cigarettes. The other monkeys became obsessed with Jeem. And each time Jeem lit up his hand rolled organic tobacco cigarettes they chattered and chattered – hoping squeaky wheel would get the grease and something would alter Jeem's behavior – for what they didn't even know.
Later Jeem was given the same organic tobacco but in a pack. And the others learned to shut up and the whole thing just went away --- Except the fact that it was all recorded and documented and made for an interesting grant on monkey socialization and behavior. The president even read about it.

The Doors - GLORIA - (dirty version); Kim Kardashian Vs. Jim Morrison: (People Who Think They're Better) ...

The only thing I do NOT LIKE about the DOORS is that it seems like they perceive themselves as like they are better than EVERYBODY ELSE = like they are intellectually built superior to even the most elite academics (and elite gossipers who can wreck a person's image as equally as the DOJ). But if we were to consult a Harvard School of Buisness professor about the long term global impact on pop consciousness and bottom line long term $helf life of Kim Kardashian (the most famous and dangerous person in America right now) and Jim Morrison (dead @ 27 in 1971) = the better bet is probably with

He stood in the kitchen prepping for an omelet featuring hot peppers (given to him by the singer songwriter from Trout Swimming or Blind Man's Holiday -one of those upper state NY bands- now turned organic table farmer) from  the local farmer's market; garden tomatoes; left over grilled pork loin. As he did the prep work - pulling out the skillet and extra virgin Italian olive oil from Jimmy Sunseri's he started the pee pee dance. "Oh no I really gotta go." He raced down the cellar stairs in the 1920's style bathroom with the toilet against the wall he relieved himself and bars of Ode to Joy sounded in his head. Then, about five minutes later while continuing to cook his breakfast = "it" really started to burn.

As a simple twist of fate though, eating the hot peppers in the omelete did not seem hot at all.

Close Up The Honky-Tonks (Avalon Ballroom 69)

It was after his show in a Pittsburgh spot that Jeff Tweedy and I over Diet Coca-Cola cans that he was preaching to me about Gram Parsons and The Flying Burrito Bros. Now, I had just seen Jeff Tweedy w/ his back-against-the-wall at a place called Metropol which Ween said "next time in Pittsburgh why don't you just book us in a urinal in the bus station because the sound would be better and we wouldn't have to stop after midnight for some "fill in the blank" dance night" = And, well, Jeff took LEMONS and TURNED THEM INTO LEMONADE w/ GRAY GOOSE vodka. Best rock'n set ever ... My wife and I still recall this doll of a female local reporter / journalist there for dance-night and was like "who is this Wilco?!". .. Yeah, the same Jeff Tweedy / Wilco / reporter / journalist that told me Gram Parsons Avalon Ballroom 69 was a littlle like the "Neon cosmic Americana of that Coca-Cola machine" we were standing nearby = "never going out acorss life-on-the-road = or well, everyday, on earth -  for that matter." ... So, just until last spring when "Bear" from the Grateful Dead Road-Crew finally let us al take a listen to the double CD = two nites of Gram and The Flying Burrito Bros opening for The Grateful Dead San Francisco 1969 did I listen. President Obama and Bob Dylan: Medal of FREEDOM

President Obama placing one of the USA's highest honors upon Bob Dylan = The Medal of FREEDOM.

And here is Dylan's "You Ain't Going Nowhere" = a rendition by The Byrds (Columbia Records) on Playboy After Dark from 1968.
(Columbia felt this Dylan tune and others like Nothing Was Delivered that the Byrds also did on SweetHeart of the Rodeo may have better chances to reach top of billboard charts if covered by radio friendly Byrds as Dylan's voice was weird. Keith Richards best friend Gram Parsons of the Everly Bros. Is the lead singer and influence for the Byrds at this time).

Yeah, I wonder how many times both Obama & Dylan were told "You Ain'T Going Nowhere" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q21BF38W3Gs&feature=related

Ashes And Fire (Live Acoustic Version)

Just some real nice simple words and music here. .. (and on the whole album, really - And, well, RYan's career really = thanks to Frank Spadafora for turning me on to him as he also did w/ Ween and a lot of great music).

As he stared past the fire
The hunger to leave, well it gnawed
His poor heart alive
Her skin smelled like black cherry blossom perfume
The sailboats they all sailed by
And a river, she cried

And the wind was suddenly sweeter
Than Rossevelt pie
The windows broke out
And the cigarette smoke was drifting by
The bums on the bowery
The were swallowed in lights
As cars rumbled by in the night
Screaming 'run for you life'

With cool and silvery eyes
And a heart that was fit for design
Drowned in a river of tears
A river she cried
Left her with a heart
Made of ashes and fire

One day there was a silence
It was through the town
There was no reason to speak
So no one made a sound
Her eyes were indigo

Her cats were all calico
And the sailboats
They all sailed by
And a river she cried

With cool and silvery eyes
And a heart that was fit for design
Drowned in a river of tears
A river she cried
Left her with a heart
Made of ashes and fire

Ashes and fire...
Ashes and fire...
Ashes and fire...

U2 - Bullet The Blue Sky (Rattle & Hum)

In the howling wind comes a stinging rain
See it driving nails
Into the souls on the tree of pain
From the firefly, a red orange glow
See the face of fear
Running scared in the valley below

Bullet the blue sky
Bullet the blue sky
Bullet the blue
Bullet the blue

In the locust wind comes a rattle and hum
Jacob wrestled the angel
And the angel was overcome
You plant a demon seed
You raise a flower of fire
See them burning crosses
See the flames higher and higher

Bullet the blue sky
Bullet the blue sky
Bullet the blue
Bullet the blue

This guy comes up to me
His face red like a rose on a thorn bush
Like all the colors of a royal flush
And he's peeling off those dollar bills
Slapping them down
One hundred, two hundred
And I can see those fighter planes
And I can see those fighter planes
Across the mud huts where the children sleep
Through the alleys of a quiet city street
You take the staircase to the first floor
Turn the key and slowly unlock the door
As a man breathes into a saxophone
And through the walls you hear the city groan
Outside is America
Outside is America

Across the field you see the sky ripped open
See the rain through a gaping wound
Pounding on the women and children
Who run
Into the arms
Of America

Safe from Sorrow Now

I can't believe I've even liked the new John Mayer so much I've let it percolate inside my brain and have even translated that album into a new poem/lyric /song for my own:

Safe from Sorrow Now
My heart was frozen with the river

Man, I probably shouldn’t’ve survived

The propellers fell off my jet plane

Wow, what a nose dive – wild ride

Almost became derailed & went insane

Well, hey, yea, Oh, well, now

I think I’m safe from sorrow

Well, hey, yea, Oh, well, now

Even though there’s nothing left to burrow

Yeah, I’m thinking of a future for tomorrow

So, it was we it became. Sorry I brought you shame.

I was thinking you knew I thought it was only a game

All the blankets in the armoire couldn’t hide my shivers

But now no matter how I feel I know I’m lucky I’m alive

And I’m just grateful to humbly learn how to survive

Well, hey, yea, Oh, well, now

I think I’m safe from sorrow

Well, hey, yea, Oh, well, now

Even though there’s nothing left to burrow

Yeah, I’m thinking of a future for tomorrow

As trains go by along the rails and down the line

River flows and leaves my heart rushing every time

I hear those things – I hear them crying out not knowing

How each way they’ll be thought of by those who see them

Just how their day goes – Whether it was bad or a good one

Well, hey, yea, Oh, well, now

I think I’m safe from sorrow

Well, hey, yea, Oh, well, now

Even though there’s nothing left to burrow

Yeah, I’m thinking of a future for tomorrow
