Mary Cries for Her Son Jesus: (Empathetic Agony)
Delivered to the judgement hall
Crowned with thorns taken to place of the skull
"Crucify him!" They violently shouted to Pilate
"I find no fault with this man," so why debate
Are you woke?! "We have no king but Ceaser
And aren't you Ceaser's friend? Don't free him!
We want Barabus! Put this Jesus to his end!"
Jesus taught, acted, led by example of truth
Pointing out blatant hypocrisy of those uncouth
Raised the dead, broke bread, healed the blind
Saw all was fed, blessed the head, divinely kind
Speaking truth to power they needed him dead
Given vinegar to drink, "it is finished," Jesus said
Empathetic agony Mary had for her woke son
People didn't care, in fact, they glad it was done
For their bloodthirsty lust it was real good fun
For their day it was free cable with reality tv
Where cruelty is the point for the powers to be
