When St. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band came was released it was so brand new that Sir Paul McCartney was blown away when he (and other rock legends) witnessed Jimi Hendrix in London, England take the track St. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and light it on fire. Yeah, Jimi picked it up that day and played the fuck out of it.

This past October a friend of mine asked this girl what kind of music she listened to and as she wasn't that versed in music and said so what she ended-up saying seemed to compensate. "Well, I listen to whatever is current."

OK, well, someone like me would say that a). I like filtering through all the bull shit and listening to what pleases me b). I like music that I can listen to over and over and over again and not get bored w/ it as it c). I like music that comes from artists who have an appreciation of the past and the sacrifices made for current artists to exist in the way they do d). I like music that cannot necessarily be boxed-in and labeled e). I like music that transcends time and space and f). I also like music that represents "the here and now" but also allows you to listen to it later and interpret it in a different way so that that "here and now" still works for you and your growth and development as a human be-ing...

So, go ahead, listen to your current music and what's spoon fed to you by the big corporate music machine and I'll sit here at 2:27 a.m. w/ my Fine Champagne Cognac and feel the musical waves of vibrant energy crash upon the shores of time = relevant and current forever = timeless sensations

Arianna Huffington emitted such an engaging energy this a.m. on the Early Show in which her transmission naturally translated itself to me as an appearance from a smoking red hot dynamic woman of the new everyday media = A+++ +++(+)
Quite honestly she does such an amazingly wonderful job herself I don't know why she would want some of these little self centered, superficial, synthetic 20 somethings w/ enormous egos to represent the Huffington Post ???
In fact, if HOT strong, confident, articulate & hard working women of the new everyday media were gavels on a bench of a judge, I'd pound them w/ authority & organic sincerity until I received everyone's attention ...

His 1964 track 'The Times They are a-Changin' became the anthem for his generation, symbolising the era-defining social struggle against the establishment.
Now Bob Dylan - who could justifiably claim to be the architect of Barack Obama's 'change' catchphrase - has backed the Illinois senator to do for modern America what the generation before did in the 1960s.

In an exclusive interview with The Times, published today, Dylan gives a ringing endorsement to Mr Obama, the first ever black presidential candidate, claiming he is "redefining the nature of politics from the ground up".

Dylan, 67, made the comments when being interviewed in Denmark, where he stopped over in a hotel during a tour of Scandinavia.

Asked about his views on American politics, he said: "Well, you know right now America is in a state of upheaval. Poverty is demoralising. You can't expect people to have the virtue of purity when they are poor.

"But we've got this guy out there now who is redefining the nature of politics from the ground up...Barack Obama.

"He's redefining what a politician is, so we'll have to see how things play out. Am I hopeful? Yes, I'm hopeful that things might change. Some things are going to have to."

He added: “You should always take the best from the past, leave the worst back there and go forward into the future."

Dylan's endorsement contains much symbolic significance. The legendary singer-songwriter, who has an art exhibition opening in London next week, became a focal point for young people worldwide when he released the album 'The times they are a-changin'," including the famous song of that name, in 1964.

The track, which he wrote as the social liberation of the '60s astonished politicians and parents, included lines urging people to accept and embrace what was happening around them.
Memorable lines included: "Come senators, congressmen, please heed the call. Don't stand in the doorway, don't block up the hall," and: "Come mothers and fathers throughout the land, and don't criticise what you can't understand. Your sons and your daughters are beyond your command. Your old road is rapidly agin'."

Dear Fox & Friends Weekend (Dave, Megan, Clayton & Super Smoking Red HOT Courtney):

Your reporting on the doctor who is claiming that flip-flops are worse for your health than high-heels is interesting. I believe in reflexology and even though I do not go around "prancing around in high heels and your cherry red lip stick" I certainly have experienced the difference between comfort, good health and technology Vs. non comfort, health and technology when it comes to shoes --- even flip flops.

This year I decided to forgo my Birks for some groovy flip flops and when I went to purchase some Rainbow sandals, I saw these for like $50.00 more = and once I tried them on I was sold.

I totally dig wearing these w/ my denim Levis = black, blue and organically faded blue w/ holes. And despite what any former model-fashion designer-stylist-reality show participant-blogger tells me, well, when it's up to me in the summer I'm wearing denim Levis and a tee-shirt = and, now, my OluKai Hiapo Flip-Flops.
