My Los Angeles, California ...

What a nice touch! Sure it's not the Ritz Carlton or the Four Seasons however I really dig the quality of the old charm here = It's very comforting, rejuvenating and home-like for me. The staff is absolutely amazing if not better than a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons. The salt water pool is most organically excellent. And, well, the Holiday Cards they send me are just so touching.

The price for five (5) Grey Goose isn't all that bad is it? I had like three (3) at the bar before I started this tab in the VIP section. And I luv Vueve and had a blast dancing too.

Julie Stout is probably the most amazing licensed massage therapist I've ever had. The first day she came to my room at Chateau Marmont I ended-up adding an extra half hour to my hour long appointment. She beat the shit out of me but in a great way. Julie was surprised by how relaxed and deep she could go with me and the pressure she could use. I was impressed by her phenomenal "healing" touch, intuition and how she recognized that I had Wilco's A.M. on the CD player and when the music was over she put another one of my discs in and when that was over - she put Wilco back in. Oh, yeah, plus she was totally smoking hot = really organic and natural. So the next session we had a few days later in my room we listened to the Grateful Dead.

Really though Julie Stout is the best and if you're in L.A. or Manhattan then give her a ring.

Jim Sheridan Took My Shirt

He was jumping in and out the salt water pool

of Chateau Marmont on this hot July Sunday

His legs supporting the direction of his feet as

he made many circles around the pool & chairs,

garden & bath house while on his cellular phone.

Yes, to "Edge." How many people are named that?

"Edge!" his Irish accent sang - and before he could

say another name of only one or two people, "Bono!"

-you knew it was Edge from the world famous band.

The book I'm almost finished with and was reading

"The Living Theatre: Art, Exile and Outrage" had

caught the director's attention and we engaged in

conversation and I was pleasantly surprised to learn

of how he once did an adaption of Julian and Judith's'

Frankenstein. Well, actually, I was fascinated by it.

Fascinated and struck by what another "coincidence."

He pointed out a picture of Coppola in the book ---

And, Jim said to put him + (2) on the guest list for Tues

July 15th for Rusted Root @ the Sunset House of Blues.

Then I thought I had heard "In America" - "In the Name

of the Father" - Jim Sheridan say, "I guess this must be

my tee-shirt" = and I saw him pick-one-up but I wasn't

really paying all that close attention to notice petty details

as I had started and was continuing to do some drinking.

In fact, I didn't realize until I had to walk shirtless up to

my room which made me pass the front desk and people.

After going to bed at 5:00 a.m. I felt like "The Boxer" ---

In the middle of a gorgeous bed, in gorgeous sheets in a

gorgeous room with a balcony view I wrote this for you---

Perfect July Nite in L.A.

Perfect July Nite in L.A.
The moon was like some jeweled candy
I so wanted to have but couldn't taste
In the garden courtyard of Chateau Marmont
With a full house under its brilliant illumination
This was one of the most perfect nites of my life; Where's my wife?
Thank you, Larisa, from Tribeca of NYC - Thank you for the Chennin Blanc

Independent Lens

Independent Lens
The moment was swift
And yet fluidly gentle
Panning left to right and
Up and down - scanning
Pausing with colorful intention
Here's the story of real freedom
It should be imperative we
All learn who it is to thank
As credits and music roll

After watching Red Eye the other nite with the dynamic & engaging Diana Falzone her image is burned into my consciousness = = = Diana Falzone is so smoking red HOT = A +++ +++ +++(+)

If "dynamic & engaging so smoking red HOT" were a 25 - 30 second presidential campaign political Ad, I'd cram as much as I could in her.

My First Hollywood (World) Premiere = "The New Twenty" @ The Directors Guild of America in L.A.

This was my first Hollywood World Premiere in Hollywood, California. It was held at the Directors Guild of America and it was great. The pre-party I was a little late getting to from having dinner in the garden at Chateau Marmont and walking over but I was pleasantly surprised by all the cool, hip, professional hot people = It was really groovy.

The film was intense, clever, funny, thought provoking and honest = It was well done and the acting was perfect. The cinematography was right on as it had both a major full length movie quality but also an edgy Indie look & feel as well = which appeals to a 70's kid like me.

And what a nice touch it was to have the director and three of the film's actors there for a Q & A session after the screening.

Nicole Bilderback was as magnetic in person as on the silver screen. Thomas Sadoski and Andrew Wei Lin gave such outstanding performances and appeared so nonchalant and grateful in person that I had to go up and say "hi" - shake hands - and give my regards.
